I just got back "again" from a four city trip in Honduras. Trust me, it was hard work and exhausting; but still a good trip. The island of Roatan is certainly working to get things ready for us. The new mayor of Roatan, Dale Jackson, has given us his word to help and support the event. We had a good press conference, and with guidance from ITU we are hoping to have a great Bay Islands Panamerican Cup Triathlon (our official ITU name).

The waters are warm and clear... the breeze is just right, and Roatan is awaiting for you.. Bring your tri-gear, your dive gear, shorts, t-shirts, and enjoy our unspoiled island. Beach.. Sun.. Diving.. go hiking...or simply do nothing and enjoy a refreshing drink on the beach.

I can't emphasize enough that it doesn't cost you any extra money, and it gives ME peace of mind knowing you are protected by the TropicalRez.com name. Sandra speaks perfect English, defends herself with working Spanish, and has gone out of her way to make sure everybody is well taken care with good rates, and fair treatment to our athletes. This also allows us to know who and when people are arriving, plan logistics like taxi cabs, extra trucks for bikes, extra handlers, etc. It's one more way to ensure your stay with us is a pleasant one.

Dear Professional Athletes: We offer special discounts, and home stay for professional triathletes. Please contact us directly for details. Home stay is limited, but there are still some available. All homes are English speaking, and mostly belong to American families or Europeans. Homestays are free.

NEW ITU requirement: ITU now asks that your particular federation registers you directly. This is ONLY to mantain a "start list" to be seen on our event page at the ITU website. On the other hand, payment is still managed by conventional channels - online, or by email.

Also remember...We are a small race, with a very tough course. For most Pros, this will be their first race of the year. Get ahead of the competition this year, and race with us!

If you are looking for ITU points... Our ITU/PATCO cups (Bay Islands Panamerican Cup included) are considered a Premium Cup race. This gives you more points than regular Continental Cups. See rules and criteria for ITU Continental Cups.

For Mountain Bike Rentals in Roatan, contact Captain Van's Rentals via email at info@captainvans.com, or visit their website http://www.captainvans.com/ . They have a limited amount of Schwinn mountain bikes that have been used for our race before. Amounts are limited, so reserve yours in advance.

Bike Repair, Assembly, and other bike services are provided by Hondubikes. Email: hondubikes@cablecolor.hn. Please contact Mario directly for rates, and to reserve your date and time of service if needed. Hondubikes is our official bikie service, and will be located at Mayan Princess Hotel starting Wednesday night. Mario speaks perfect English, and Spanish, and represents Cannondale in Honduras.
